CSK’s Tangjeong Service team has once again triumphed at ‘The 2024 Chungnam Governor’s Cup eSports Tournament,’ hosted by the Chungnam Information and Culture Technology Industry Agency (CTIA) and sponsored by Chungcheongnam-do. This marks CSK's second win in a row in the event.
The eSports tournament for both students and adults, began with online preliminaries on September 8th, featuring a total of 24 teams competing in the finals. The competition included three categories: League of Legends (Team match), StarCraft (Team match), and KartRider Rush+ (Individual match).
At the finals on September 22nd, the CSK’s Tangjeong Service team (Yeonjun Kim, Seokbong Kwon, Jeonghwan Seo, Seonchan Kim, Ethan Kim) secured the win in the League of Legends category.
Yeonjun Kim, team leader of Tangjeong Service team shared his thoughts on the victory, “We’re thrilled to win for the second year in a row and bring recognition to our company. It’s a proud moment for us. We worked hard together as a team, and it’s incredibly satisfying to see our efforts pay off.”
Nearly 2,000 locals and 195 players from throughout the region competed in the competition, which has been annually since 2021 to support the development of the eSports sector in Chungnam. Winners of the top three places in each category were awarded a total of KRW 12 million in prize, along with awards from the CTIA president.
