CSK, a leader in gas reduction equipment in Korea, held a groundbreaking ceremony for its Asan production plant with its group company Edward Korea in Asan-si, Chungcheongnam-do on October 12, 2022. The new 15,000 m 2 manufacturing facility will produce vacuum and degassing systems used in global semiconductor manufacturing.
Semiconductor manufacturing is essential for developments across technology, electronics, automotive, science and medical fields, and the recent surge in global demand for semiconductors has led to significant investments in semiconductor manufacturing. This proactive investment by Edwards will be an important step in supporting industry growth and securing the necessary supply chain capabilities.
CSK and Edward Korea's Asan production plant, located in the Tangjeong General Industrial Complex in Asan City, is scheduled to be completed and operational in the third quarter of 2023. This new manufacturing facility will significantly increase the production capacity of CSK's Abatement and Liquid Delivery System (LDS) and group company Edward's EUV Integrated System.
